The hoist and the bed were working. Safeguarding not covered. Some aspects were not applicable to me as a midwife

Good course as usual. Trainer encouraging. I missed having book with a copy of the course notes and slides; it helps to know what you need to Improve. The coffee was slow and you need a degree to use the coffee machine. Thank you ☺️

Venue had no windows or daylight or ventilation and we were in there from 9.30 to 5.30. No lunch break until 1.45 for 20 mins. Not conducive for learning. Natalie talked too much on H & S act at the start so skipped over safeguarding and E & D. She ran out of time so the end of the morning and afternoon felt rushed.

Facilitator was fantastic very knowledgeable and engaging, I thought there should be more assessment of practicals skills and knowledge.

Useful update but unable to follow satisfactorily because there was no training booklet to write, comments and make useful notes. John said this is because some participants leave their booklets behind after training. I find this difficult to believe. Also the use of microphone should be considered because sometimes you can't hear the trainer properly.

I am a BMS-biomedical scientist.I work in a laboratory.I never go on wards, never see patients and am not permitted to handle patients. The course was irrelevent and inappropriate for me.For some strange reason an agency made it compulsory for me to attend. If I were a nurse I would say that the course was fine.

Other than the CPR element, all other modules could be completed via e-learning. Unfortunately the mandatory training days don't seem to be directed at people who just require a refresher.
