I think the safeguarding element was too short. I manage support workers and feel there was not enough information provided.

For me personally, I have had yearly and half yearly training so for me it was a repetition of my knowledge. The trainer had an interesting voice and character throughout his presentation which kept you engaged but did feel he missed some trainers that were wanting to ask questions . A positive for the trainer was he kept a very good pace and time keeping /schedule As a mental health nurse the phrase “kicking off “ is not used to describe someone who is off baseline or has heightened anxieties , but do understand that it was a terminology once used (just my bug bear ! )

For new staff a poor MH because not able to practice with hoist as the service date had expired. Better resuscitation than last years as put into smaller groups to practice and was well managed by trainer. Trainer didn’t show much enthusiasm for his job

The Trainer was asked the day before to complete training and the last time he delivered this was 6 months ago. He was a pleasant man but unfortunately we needed more detail for us to deliver training to our clients.

Trainer was knowledgeable but lots of tangents which made it difficult to follow at times. Some content was rushed through when it seemed important to do slowly. Practical elements were all demonstrated well.

I feel competent now to deliver training to staff. There were some elements of the trainer's delivery style that I didn't feel were effective however over all if was satisfactory. The trainer would use his phone and eat whilst training which i didn't feel was appropriate. However Shahbaz was obviously very knowledgeable and covered all areas I was expecting to learn about.
