Ben was very interactive and kept my attention the full time. The related stories helped to put the course into mind of real life situations. I liked how it was half theory and half physical, breaks up the day more. For future I would recommend more patient stories maybe?

I enjoyed the day. I was actually nervous coming into this session due to the physical restraints however I now feel confident and Ben made you feel comfortable and showed you multiple times how to practice each skill, if you struggled he would helped you practice again. It found it also useful to go over what was taught on level 1. Thank you!Response : Thank you, Chloe. We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear the session helped build your confidence and provided a supportive environment to practice the skills. It’s also great to know revisiting the Level 1 content was helpful.

Lots of really good evidence based techniques and information learnt and practiced. Makes you think about your own practice at work and at home. Thought Ben was engaging and passionate and a great trainer.

Great delivery of information. Attention from everyone clearly present. Demonstration of breakaway techniques completed in a safe manner, ensuring everyone understood, taking time out to reassure people.

Part 2 was much better than part 1 as it was split up into morning of theory and afternoon of practical so went really quick! Only thing I would say to improve is to offer examples of our real life patient scenarios such as NG placement for feeding de-escalation. For example, asking “what’s wrong” wouldn’t help with this as we would know what has escalated them. I would appreciate some further guidance on verbal deescalation

Made me feel safe knowing techniques not only on the wards but in person. Explained it well and made the course enjoyable. Thank you both!

The course was very informative, I like that there was repetition of the movements throughout and at the end to ensure we knew them thoroughly. Ben was very passionate and a good teacher, like that there was a clear sectioning between theory and practical bits.
