Learning the guards and breakaways very awesome, the interactivity of the lesson aided loads into embedding the knowledge. The theory in the morning was a solid recap of the topics covered in level 1 while building upon them in a meaningful way with a manageable amount of Information.
I thought this course was amazing!! I Learnt some really useful techniques i can use for my day-day job and for the pupils i’m with everyday.

Crystal, Anna, and Ben were great. Made us feel really comfortable and explained in detail. The part that I took away most is that the best breakaway is no breakaway, and that using our talking skills and knowledge of the children will be enough to support them most of the time.
Absolutely brilliant, loved the training and it gave a really good insight for me in the theory side and especially the practical side learning how to break away through very effective methods in numerous situations. I learnt some really key points that will stick with me in my day to day job and it has been really helpful and delivered great.

This course was very thorough and all trainers were experts in the delivery of each part. Corrections were made throughout to ensure all trainees knew exactly what and why they were being corrected, showing the risks that come if strategies are done properly. The course had many good anecdotes that give perpective and reasoning behind each choice of defence. It was child focused and highlighted the safety of children as a priority without demonising the behaviours seen in schools.
This course have been very helpful. We had lots of time to practice the brake aways and guards. There was lots of demonstrations which helped remember the moves. Crystal and Anna would correct me if I hadn’t done a brake away correctly one to one which helped a lot with my technique.
Very informative, good anecdotes and examples given to embed learning. Plenty of brain breaks.
I found all the releases and guards really useful, but the most useful thing (as it was in level 1) was discussing the theory around RRN: finding the why and using all our tools to avoid non-restrictive breakaway/self preservation. I learnt something new today, in the discussion surrounding how we are unable to learn if we are off our baseline, so denying someone something they want is not avoiding the person learning an unhealthy behaviour, because they're not in a mindset to learn. This was so great to hear and take away with me.
