Is the school director supposed to monitor the courses at ACI? Why was the end of course assessments not ready to be taken on the day they are supposed to taken? The ball was dropped on this one on several occasions. I think a review needs to be done on who monitors the progress of classes.
This course is not a suitable prep for the core 1 CompTIA exam. The in class mid term and final exams only measure ones aptitude at searching for the correct answer on google. While this class is a good familiarization opportunity for people who have never done anything other than use windows, browse the web and send emails, it is not sufficient to pass the CompTIA A+ core 1 examination.
This course was a dreaded part of my day due to how it was taught. The instructor we had was not the original instructor who was supposed to teach this course and you could tell the instructor we had was put on the spot. Very unorganized and left many students confused. We had an in-class aid, since the course was taught over Zoom, which would've worked well if we could have had more time to ask him questions. We could only ask questions and go over materiel during our 10-minute breaks or after class, but that is not something everyone could attend. The course was not engaging at all and was hard to follow. The instructor seemed to rush through the material.
The information is interesting. It can be learned, but not at the current rate, it would be very difficult to comprehend in 2 weeks.
For me, the class was too face-paced. The quizlets are helpful, but there needs to be a book or downloadable content like the slides or a pdf to reference outside of needing to use the ACI Website. I feel like I really didn't retain nearly enough of the material.
so much material to try and learn in two weeks is next to impossible. we would be lucky to retain a quarter of the stuff.
I am thoroughly disappointed with ACI as a whole for their bait-and-switch approach to these courses. They are marketed as these great 10-day courses that will get you the certifications needed to get a high-paying job in the tech industry. It doesn't take long to realize that they are simply a way to get some quick money from the VA and force students into help-desk jobs paying barely above minimum wage.
It seems to be a good course, but multiple instructors hurt me. The different teaching styles made it difficult for me to follow along and make sure I was getting the right information.
course was dull and I do not understand the process of project management much more than what I came in with. But I can answer some quiz questions.
