This was an excellent introduction for me about Mental Health Awareness. I came on the course to help me develop my management skills for one of my team who suffers with mental health problems. It also helped me identify a lot of techniques that I use personally to keep my own mental health balanced. Having never suffered from mental health problems personally, but watching a family member suffer I am very much in favour of prevention instead of waiting to have to cure. It did also help me identify that stress is part of mental health, and that is something that I do personally need to keep an eye on. Being busy all the time, is not a good thing....my Mum has told me this for years, but seeing it in black & white is an eye opener!! Thanks Gary, you really have put together a brilliant course, which will do a lot of people good.

Gary was excellent in guiding the group through engaging with the content and sometimes shutting down potential tangents from individuals in a very positive way. Previous sessions I've attended linked to mental health (not from this provider) have sometimes upset me by raising issues a bit too close to home - Gary's factual and scientific approach and the way he injects humour at key points meant I was able to fully engage with the session and learn so much about how I can better manage my own anxiety (and what causes it) and I'm looking forward to putting what I've learned into practice. Thank you

I enjoyed this course and found the instructors both knowledgeable and engaging. The information was presented in a clear, easy to understand way, which made it easy to relate to my day to day experiences. I feel understanding and enhancing our mental health is key to living a happy and fulfilling life, and I would encourage everyone to take the time to take this course to familiarise themselves with the challenges and pitfalls we all face, and understand the tools we can use to overcome them.

The session was very informative, I gained further insight into MH and it has made me more aware of my own MH. I will be applying a lot of what I have learnt today within my own day to day practice. Thank you.

This training was brilliant, really felt I learnt a lot and I will use going forward. Was also quite intense, probably an extra half hour to digest some of the information and not rush through as quickly would be beneficial. Thanks so much

A very useful course on mental health and more in depth than I was expecting. Helps to understand mental illness and to identify the signs of potential mental health

Very interesting and useful, especially the evolutionary roots of stress and how it relates to modern living.
