I think there is lots of information in the course which is useful but that the delivery of speaking through the slides didn't suit my learning style. I am wondering if there any opportunity of the workshop to be more interactive rather focussed on the chat function. Sending out the booklet before hand is also helpful. The course wasn't what I was expecting as I thought it was for managers to be able to support staff who may be struggling, however the information is useful and I could use some parts to support staff.
Response : Hi Becca and thank you for your feedback. It seems that you were expecting the Mental Health Conversations session this morning, for which this session is required pre-learning. If you contact the L&D team, they can point your towards the managers session. I am glad you found it useful, despite the delivery style. We have found that open dialogue has been limited a bit by the time available and take your feeedback on board for future workshops.

I thought this was a course to help with mental health issues but after a short introduction to mental health the course totally focused on stress alone. What about other mental health issue and how to deal with them? Additionally the message seemed to be that it is our own responsibility and stresses lie with us!!! I strongly disagree. How you think about stress can contribute to the "stress" but it doesn't create it or cure it. I have experienced significant cognitive issues following a period of watching my mum die and providing her end of life care and this course wasn't useful for addressing any of the issues experienced. Positive thinking and seeking help has not changed many of those cognitive issues and I feel quite strongly that this course was a bit neglectful of much. I don't mean to be critical but this course really needs to be described as managing stress rather than about mental health in general.
Response : Hi Louise and thank you for your feedback. As we explained at the start of the workshop, this was a condensed version of our full half-day mental health workshop, which explores a number of specific mental health conditions in some detail. Unfortunately, the online context does not lend itself well to exploring mental health conditions, as our priority is to ensure emotional and psychological safety and, naturally, this is more achievable in a face to face environment. It is out hope that by explaining during the course, that often (not always) mental health issues arise as a result of stressors and how we respond to those stressors, that the link between stress and compromised mental health is made clear, but we apologise if this did not translate well on this occasion. We hope that you will be able to attend the full workshop when it is offered to you once we can all meet face to face again safely.

Couldn't hear what they were saying, didn't have the work book as I am working from home and do not have a printer, tried everything to hear what was being said, couldn't even send a message to put my views across, if I could hear what they were saying I would have graded higher, sorry for the stars but there is no point me giving higher stars if I didn't have a clue what was being said
