Great course of instruction. I have a better understanding of IT and all the intricate subjects associated with the field.

We are adults with jobs, the strictness of the camera being on and running all the way to 10pm when I finished my assigned lab at 9:00 is frustrating. Oftentimes I would get home from work with 15 mins to make something to eat before the class starts. I just think the strictness of the concept is ridiculous. It is on me as an adult to get what I want out of the class and put the appropriate amount of time in, but forcing it this way was frustrating not only for me but for others I spoke with as well.

Ms. Angel was a great instructor. Overall ACI did a great job providing insight to what's a computer user support specialist is and what it entails.

Despite some very obvious flaws with the material, ACI has some very knowledgeable and personable people working at the campus. People who really want to see people coming into here succeed. And so in spite of that, I think this is a great environment to come to in order to advance in an IT career.

The venue experienced recurring technical issues that impacted instructional delivery and reduced overall effectiveness. However, Dr. Dreighton adapted quickly and professionally by implementing a contingency plan, including relocating to an alternate classroom, which helped ensure continuity of instruction despite the venue limitations.

All courses and instructors were great! Wanted the students to succeed and feel confident. As far as certification readiness, more self-study and more practice exams will improve test readiness

Course Feedback – ACI Learning CompTIA A+ I want to begin by highlighting the strength of the instructor’s delivery and teaching approach. The course material was presented in an engaging and interactive manner, and I genuinely appreciated how the instructor consistently used day-to-day analogies to explain technical concepts. These real-world comparisons significantly enhanced comprehension and helped bridge theory with practical understanding. His pedagogical approach and adult learning techniques were effective, promoting analysis, reflection, and meaningful learning rather than rote memorization. Overall, the curriculum content itself was well developed, relevant, and aligned to CompTIA A+ objectives. However, there are several areas where improvements would meaningfully enhance the learner experience. First, the course slides contained a noticeable number of errors. Some slides repeated the same content twice, while others referenced case stories or individuals without providing sufficient background or context. This occasionally caused confusion and interrupted the learning flow. Cleaning up slide duplication and ensuring all examples include proper context would strengthen instructional clarity. Second, regarding the structure and sequencing of course resources, I would have appreciated a different order of presentation. In particular, Coach MACI, presented as an “AI platform” and exam preparation tool, was introduced too late in the course. Earlier exposure would have allowed students to evaluate its usefulness sooner and integrate it more effectively into their study routine. That said, my experience with Coach MACI was the most challenging aspect of the course. While positioned as an AI learning assistant, the platform functioned primarily as a restricted exam-prep tool rather than a true AI platform. Due to its limitations, it often generated frustration instead of supporting learning. For example, when asking questions directly related to material covered in class, such as: * “Explain and expand what is Machine Learning (ML) in relation to the CompTIA A+ course,” or * “According to the ACI Learning CompTIA A+ AI Prompt Engineering Day 1 class, explain why the ‘Ready, Fire, Aim’ format is effective for AI prompting and create a visual chart,” the platform returned error messages stating that these topics were outside the CompTIA A+ curriculum, even though they were explicitly discussed during that day’s instruction. This occurred repeatedly, including when attempting to define Machine Learning (ML), a term referenced in the course. Even after attempting to provide a definition to the platform, it again responded that ML concepts were outside the course scope. Additionally, the platform does not allow the use of visual aids, which are essential for many CompTIA A+ concepts. For example, legitimate requests such as: * “Show a diagram or photo of T568A and T568B wiring standards for RJ45 connectors,” were rejected with responses stating that images or diagrams fall outside the platform’s allowed format, even though these visuals are fundamental to understanding cabling standards required by the exam. If this had been my first exposure to AI learning tools, the experience would have been extremely frustrating and potentially discouraging enough to drop the course. Instead of facilitating skill development, the platform’s rigid constraints often hindered exploration, clarification, and deeper understanding. In contrast, when I tested the same questions using other AI platforms (both paid and free), I received accurate, contextual, and helpful explanations directly aligned to CompTIA A+ material. In summary: * The instructor was excellent, engaging, knowledgeable, and effective in applying adult learning principles. * The core curriculum is solid, but slide accuracy and structure need refinement. * The ordering of tools and resources could be improved, particularly earlier introduction of MACI. * Coach MACI’s limitations significantly reduce its value as a learning aid and position it primarily as a constrained exam-prep tool rather than a true AI assistant. With improvements to slide quality, resource sequencing, and greater flexibility within the learning tools, this course has the potential to be outstanding. I was pleased with the knowledge learned from the instructor and truly enjoyed! Thank you for your time and support.
