It was a long session, but time went so quickly! It was engaging and interesting - I managed to keep focused.

Sal was the best trainer I've ever had. I wish she would conduct all training courses!

I really enjoyed learning with Sal, she was very welcoming, patient and informative. I think Sal's teaching style was very beneficial and inclusive. I would definitely undertake another course with her.

The course was very informative. I liked the group involvement as this really got you thinking about things and listening to other colleagues experiences and queries.

It was a good course to do, I did the European Computer Driving Licence about 8 years ago which gave me the very basics of Excel, so this was nice to improve my skills and learn about some extra functionality.

It was really informative and gave everyone a good overview of the aspects of excel we covered, sparking everyone's imagination with ways to incorporate into our daily schedule. I think I should have given Serena more information about how we work and what we plan to do because I think people would have gained some benefit from seeing connections to MySQL rather than just other spreadsheets. But Serena did cover connecting to folders during lunch and I think everyone got it. So great job!

This finance session was better as we got more stuck in to the detail. Some of it was still a bit slow for me

I missed the first finance workshop so I can't compare the two, but I felt the first half was a bit too granular (eg, the finance coding), but loved going through the balance sheets (financial reporting and management accounts). I know Amsel tried to avoid it, but I would have like him to talk through the financial accounts line by line and highlight the areas that we should focus on. Just a general comment, and I do understand that the bulk of people on the course, and indeed all Happy courses, come from the not-for-profit sector, but I feel there's a lack of focus on the commercial sector and the challenges that we have.
