ACI Learning Reviews

If it had not been for our instructor i would not have the understandings that i do. If at all possible lesson slides should encompass eBook tables and notes that are included in the A+ exam requirements instead of only being able to find some info in the book and some on the site.

I'm happy with my experience so far. It's an easy enough course to understand, and I look forward to using what I learn in the future

I have received notifications from the HR team regarding job applications that require a high school diploma or GED. I took the time during my onboarding at ACI to annotate degrees and certifications when asked, leading to the impression that the ACI team would utilize some form of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform with centralized customer data to track interactions and automate workflows. This would enhance communication with students and improve service efficiency and support. Correspondence such as this devalues the perception of the ACI organization, which claims to care for its student body by offering quality support, not only within the classroom but also through the services provided. Furthermore, during the initial days of the course, it was mentioned that students should dress accordingly, as representatives from companies like "Spectrum" might visit. It remains unclear whether this was intended to suggest that ACI partners with such organizations, or if it was a misrepresentation. When inquiring about resources and job placement assistance, I was informed that these were handled by other roles or departments within ACI. I continue to hope that the company's claims of partnerships with companies listed on their Career Connect platform are genuine. Unfortunately, most of the job listings on this platform are either dead links or no longer available. The majority of these positions require only a minimum of a high school diploma. Given the student demographic, primarily veterans, I would suggest that a broader range of job opportunities, possibly requiring at least an associate's degree, be made accessible through this platform. The participation of students in the course also includes students with graduate-level degrees. I attempted to communicate these issues to the team; however, I was informed that they did not have direct contact with preferred employer partners but would facilitate connections through their team. I followed up and was told to expect an email to establish contact. To date, I am still awaiting this email. Overall, my experience with the job board was rated 2 out of 5 due to the scarcity of available jobs and the continued presence of dead links or unavailable positions.

Fix the labs make them multiple choice like the comptia exam so they actually hold some learning merit but also do hands on learning.

More hands on with physical computer parts is needed. An actual Lab that we can build a server or at least put together a PC or change out the battery would be nice. The school promotes hands on but provides no actual hands on. the entire class could be virtual at this point and I came here because that is what I was trying to get away from in my other school. Do better.

Alot of material covered in two weeks of instruction. Our instructor (Angel) was familiar with all of the information. Probably too much information to go over in such a short timeframe. Use of online services and programs, recommended during the class, were useful in providing visual explanations.

Paige lead the class for the career prep week and it was an OUTSTANDING course because of the way she facilitates!
