Again, Mr. Condes is an amazing instructor. Dr. Leighton was extremely helpful in regarding what hiring managers look for in potential candidates. The material was great.
Miguel did a good job of presenting it, but our week was compressed due to the holiday. I do feel like we needed more time for the information that was presented to us in the first week.
Azael is a great instructor. He wasn't trying to waste our time and just simply reading the slides to us. He took his time and focused on the more meaningful portions of the exam objectives and ensured we became comfortable within those sections.
Overall a pretty good course. Some feedback: The practice exams found embedded in the ACI A+ curriculum are very different from any other CompTIA A+ practice exams I have taken. It's my understanding that this is to prevent liability issues for ACI for copyright or some such but a lot of the practice questions too easily rule out 3 of 4 answers which I don't think accurately reflects our understanding of the topic. For example, a question about hardware might have a correct answer of "RAM", but the other answer choices are like cloud computing, IP addresses, etc that are so far removed from being a correct possibility that it's not really testing our understanding. The ACI A+ ebook is fantastic. I appreciate that it works from the ground up as opposed to objective by objective studies as most other resources are laid out which offers breadth of perspective (and probably avoids liability/copyright if I had to guess intent). After this course, I feel prepared for the A+ exam but I guess we'll find out after I take it. Thank y'all! :)
Excellent course, the only thing I would change is make the questions more like the CompTia wording.
Overall, my experience in taking this course was mostly positive. I knew most of the basics when it comes to computers, but there were several concepts that I didn't know existed. Now I feel more comfortable with my learning pace despite the amount of information that's out there.
