Great training but a very long day to go through everything i feel like this needs to be broken up into sessions as it’s very heavy

A good introduction to Suicide First Aid but I expected a more in-depth session for a full day of training

Overall, this course seem to be a small refresher for my role, this was more facts and data to start, in my role I do this on a daily basis so already know the speaking technics and skills needed, this was beneficial for someone who has never engaged with someone in a crisis but for those who regularly do them was a not very informative for us as we already know majority of this stuff and was hoping for more hands on knowledge.

The course was good and covered some really useful things. I found it to be quite a lot to learn in a short space of time having not been in these scenarios before but overall this was helpful.

For the first 2 hours, this was the perhaps the most stimulating seminar I can ever remember having attended. I was so glad to be able to take part. However, towards the 11.30 break one participant asked for the focus to be on young people. I am currently supporting parents who are under extrordinary stress and the shift in focus - which was immediately agreed without consulting the group - had a significant effect on its relevance for me personally. Along with the poor PowerPoint and change of pace to get through so much material in not enough time, the tools for managing First Aid largely eluded me. I hope to catch up by reviewing the links I have now received.
