I find this course very clear and evidence based with practical skills developed. Perhaps could have been achieved in a shorter session or have added what to do in a moment of crisis, ie how to deal with someone who has already begun suicide behaviour.

Shian was great to deliver the course and I walked away with lots of information and knowledge. Thanks Shian

I had a good experience, and the tutor delivered the training clearly and as expected. I feel more confident recognising signs of suicidal thoughts and speaking to someone I am concerned about. The main improvement I would suggest is adding more applied examples and strengthening the supporting materials.

I enjoyed the course, however from a personal view point I would like to see a Christian element to be considered as my work is done through church and faith as part of safeguarding. Faith can help as well as our approach being through compassion and love.

I feel more confident now on how to help someone with suicide thoughts or ideas

I was very apprehensive before attending. But what is I learned has been very powerful and the hidden toll of suicide the cost and ripple effects on the wider circle of people is incredible. I feel as a council we need to be more open and perhaps targets the age group [men] that are more likely to end their life.Response : Thanks for your comments, Rebecca - will be great to have you in our SFA network.
