A huge amount to learn over the 4 days and the practice of the delivery reinforced the learning of the content. Once I had received the trainers pack things seemed to become easier to understand and I became more familiar with the course/s. The tutors were very supportive and understanding and I enjoyed the learning although I found myself quite overwhelmed and quite tired after the first session especially.

I would recommend this course to everyone. It has enhanced my understanding and has given me more confidence. I look forward to further development in this area and it supports my MHFA instructor training. Thank you.

A very good well paced training. Delivered very professionally with lots of interaction and information, though not too much.

Good to have short break out rooms to meet others and discuss. Great course and great opportunity to hear peers thoughts too. Delivered in open way so no feelings or responses felt judged.

The course, in my opinion, should be one of the most intergral courses to take along with other mental health courses.

Considering this was via Zoom it was a very well structured course and has been adapted well too distant learning. I felt that Steve had a good idea of the duty of care he held due to the subject matter.

It is clearly impossible to cover every scenario in an entry level course, but there are a couple of areas which I would have liked to have seen explored, or explored more deeply. First, the role of social media in suicide incidence. Second, differences between genuine distress and so-called attention seeking behaviour, and how to deal with both. As a line manager of multiple young people, this is highly relevant.

I've genuinely enjoyed all aspects of this training and am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of this. I've met some great new friends/ colleagues and feel as if my 'spark' has been relit both in terms of my sense of purpose related to my work role, and also in terms of my personal interest in & commitment to suicide prevention, intervention & postvention.
