RRN Level 3: Restrictive Physical Intervention reviews

4.9 (6,245 reviews)
AI summary of reviews

Practical, safety-focused learning is the course’s defining strength: attendees say it links clear theory on positive behaviour support, de-escalation, law, dignity and least-restrictive practice to step-by-step demonstrations, realistic scenarios and repeated practice. They value knowledgeable, patient and approachable trainers who use humour, lived experience and feedback to keep demanding subjects engaging, inclusive and easy to understand. The well-organised sessions build confidence that transfers directly to supporting children, patients and service users at work, although some find the theory lengthy.

Enjoyed the course, was very informative throughout, delivered in a professional way. The trainers and the group was very engaging which made it enjoyable too. No reflection of the trainers but the bite release not sure how effective this would be.

Really enjoyed the course, both trainers were open to conversation, patient and engaging. Maybe staff personal safety should be added or taught at a different time.

Trainer was brilliant. Never done anything like this before so was very useful for me. Could maybe benefit from how to apply it more when the child is running around and its not stood and set up nicely for you to get the grip but I understand this is not easy to do inside a small room.

Really enjoyed the training and the trainer (Jamie) was fab. However going forward I would like more reference to school environments and children rather than adult hospital or care environments. It would be good to have reference to school statutory regulations, or an awareness of them. Thank you!

Response: Thank you for your feedback. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the training and that Jamie made a positive impact. We really appreciate your suggestion about including more references to school environments and children. That kind of context is so important, especially when applying PBS principles in education settings. We’ll take your comments on board and look at how we can build in more awareness of school statutory regulations and tailor examples to better reflect the realities of working with children. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

Georgie and Katie did great during the training. Giving clear information. Patience during the techniques for people to catch up. Venue could do with more space due to heat and poor ventaliation.

Liam was a fantastic trainer for level 3, understanding of the potential trauma restraint can cause to staff as well as patients. wish I had this training earlier in my career.
