Best First Aid course i have completed. Learnt new skills. Mark Holdsworth certainly knows his stuff. The only slighlty negative would be that the training room at Tesco Metro was not big enough for 10 students. But other than that i really enjoyed it.

Leslie, was an excellent trainer, better and more experienced than the usual trainers I get when with St John Ambulance, the experience makes all the difference. I had never practiced the abdominal thrust before or the defibrillater so that was really useful.

I think the content was very thorough and mixed well with interactive activities. The trainer had lots of anecdotal information, signposted throughout the session and supported the group well and delivered the course at an appropriate pace. However, for me personally, in order to do progress to the instructor programme I had to complete the two days. I have worked in the field of mental health, substance misuse and currently run a service and work directly with HE students with existing mental health conditions offering primarily crisis support. I felt with my experience, this particular course felt very basic for me and for people with extensive experience this should be considered or indeed summarised as a course.

The trainer (Joni) was fantastic, excellent facilitation skills, excellent communicator & very personable. Struck a good balance between sharing personal experience vs thorough understanding of the subject matter. Very impressive manner or recognising other peoples experience and covering the ground that needed to be covered

Ann was exceptionally good at delivering the course content in an informative and hands on way so that it was easier to understand and she kept the whole class interested and engaged with her depth of knowledge.

Rushed because someone wanted to get train home

The venue was filthy, stuffy and really unpleasent to be in. The language of some of the people attending was absolutly unacceptable

I really enjoyed the course overall and found it very informative and interesting. It has equipped me with the tools required in order to spot the signs and symptoms sooner to allow us to intervene earlier in the workplace from an employer perspective. Michael was a great trainer and kept everyone engaged. From a personal perspective, it has also helped me to be able to spot signs and symptoms sooner and also offer help and support where required.
