Really enjoyed the learns from the session an being together to do it

Sherrell was amazing from start to end, I felt so heard and understood but without any big deal being made around my additional needs either which was really nice and then allowed me to be confident enough in front of the group to be open and discuss my struggles. She went the extra mile even in the small things, checking in on how I was coping, allowed me into the room early to get my self together. I never use fidget toys normally but there was such a huge variety that she had on offer and I managed to find one that really helped me stay focussed through the first day. I have come away with alot of excitement and with soooo much new knowledge, that I never even knew I needed or thought I needed either.

The two-day session really made me reflect on my own teaching practice. It highlighted the importance of having a clear rationale behind everything I do and how meaningful aims and objectives can shape more purposeful learning. I was also reminded of the value in naturally embedding Functional Skills and British Values and the power of encouraging learners to reflect on when and how they’ve applied these in real contexts.

The venue requires better heating and toilet facilities. One toilet for the whole building isn't adequate.
