Even though this course is broken up into two sessions, I feel as if the amount of information taught is not comparable to the amount of time needed to properly retain the information; especially considering I have zero background knowledge of the IT field. There could probably be a different course for those with zero IT knowledge and history versus those already familiar with the field.
more pacific about the study materials. did all the aci portal and the comt A+ learn and find out that there are more labs! need clear instructions. found the additional labs for A+ for 1002 last two days of class. never used the 1001 test out labs, did not know I need to do them-instructor said he did not have access. currently using the additional labs for certification. still passed the final test for the class completion but do not feel ready for certification. referred my husband and his classes are at a different time and his instructors are more hands on-more interaction and I have referred a family friend who is also stated that they have more interaction with the instructor thru anonymous quiz pools and trivia questions so they both feel that they get more security that they have taken something from the calss for the day.
You need more mentors with way more flexible hours, like weekends and late night. I work from 8:00AM - 4:30PM sometimes 8:00PM. I NEED a mentor but don't have access to one. This was made clear before I signed up and I was told that I'd have lots of help. That was a lie!
Very well laid out and presented by Patrick Allen. He's an instructor whom you can tell is not doing this just to get people through, he genuinely wants his students to succeed and understand the materials presented.
Thank you Kathleen Crawford for steadying the course even when you met with unplanned circumstances - the course slides disappeared. You were able to multi-task, keep the class going and go out and re-add the course slides and get us back on track with where we were supposed to be!
