I would highly recommend this course to anyone that is seeking the Sec+ certification.

I wish all instructors kept things to the point and stayed focused like Mr. Allen. I feel like other instructors tend to get caught up in the real-world examples and tend to drone; I know the idea is to keep things interesting and connect real-course, but I feel like things can get easily off topic and convoluted. Mr. Allen kept on subject.

My only suggestion would be to add a 10 assessment quiz after each lesson (to include homework). overall great class hopefully I have the same instructor for 102.

We were told the average time to complete homework was 1-2 hours, which was not accurate. It would take 1-2 hours to do the labs, but that does not include the practice questions, PBQs, or Professor Messer videos. Trying to find time to take advantage of other resources was very difficult. I was able to find some time during the weekend to go through flash cards and games on the Comptia website which was helpful. My personal schedule was to attend school from 8-12, work immediately after (home inspections), pick up my son from day care, and homework after he goes to bed. Needless to say, I did not have much time, but I was able to complete everything. I expected the long days, but I did not expect homework to last 3-4 hours, which again was hard to do anything extra to help study for the assessment. I am limited in time when I can perform home inspections, but I will continue to try to find a good balance in my schedule for the next three courses.

I really enjoyed the course and learned a lot and only wish there was a little more time and able to be in the class but overall it was a great course

Great course. Extremely informative and definitely contributes to a persons business understanding.

maybe this class should be 5 or 6 hours long per day. A whole lot of information and alot of homework very time consuming

I think that maybe the course might benefit from an extra day or two for more review and discussions so that we aren't falling behind in class by opening up several discussions and lots of questions. I personally am fine however it never hurts to have a day dedicated to strictly review materials and question and answer sessions. And this should be at the end of the course to prepare us for the Federal exam.
