There was a ton of content (as usual) but it was manageable. I believe Mr. Allen gave us the tools and pertinent information to be successful with our certification test.
My instructor was Patrick Allen for CompTIA A+ (core 1 and 2), network+, and security+. He is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to teach us all we need to know. He provides an abundance of real-life examples and is always lending a helping hand. I would definitely recommend taking courses with him. The course provides a good amount of content and materials, however, our instructor also recommended other resources that will be helpful to pass the exam. The course is very fast paced (part-time for 2 weeks) so studying every single day is necessary to fully understand security concepts and definitions.
Although it was a large amount of knowledge in a short amount of time, Mr Petti did an outstanding job of making it all digestible. Not just in imparting the information, but also in explaining the rationale of the program thereby making it easier to apply what we have learned to the assessments.
John knows the material and has many examples from his work experiences to tie to the coursework. It's just an overall death by powerpoint.
john is a really nice guy and goes over the material alright... but he does ramble quite a bit about his own perrsonal stories, which i dont mind normally, but when we spend a whole hour on the same slide to listen to extraneous information it gets a bit tedious
Good engagement with the class and showing general interest in teaching overall.
I did take the 5 day Cybersecurity Program training some time ago, so it was nice to brush up on security topics.
The course was informative and establishes a good base for future IT audit courses.
The course is very technical in nature and real hard for me to grasp. I feel if it was longer than 4 hours it would have been easier for me to understand and grasp the concepts. The instructor is VERY knowledgeable about the content.
