Really informative and highlighting this is an intervention rather than cure

I think I’d feel more comfortable with approaching someone who seems to be struggling and asking directly if they are thinking about suicide.

I feel a lot more confident than when I started and have learned a lot from the course. A little bit more time on the active listening would be my only suggestion.

Really good training, definitely learned some new things, as well as helped to re-inform. allowed me to consider further options and things to consider when working with someone experiencing suicide.

Helpful to think around this and gain confidence about what is appropriate to ask and say, and where to signpost to. also helpful to recognise the distress that the person must be in, and to be compassionate on ourselves and others when there are such huge struggles
