The information on Simply Academy does not state what you should take with you. Most importantly, it is not clear from Simply Academy that you must register as a separate item and book your exams. From how it is worded on the website it implies that this course is all you need, i miss understood this (as did a number of others on the course) to mean that the course was 4.5 days with the exam at the end. As such i will now have the second training week before i then take all three exams together.

Hi, Brendan knows his stuff. He pitched the course well for all abilities, and was a personable, human face to the subject. The course material is dry, and could do with revision. Make the material more interesting in its layout and it'll be remembered better. The visuals don't lead to better learning. For example: the headings and subtitles seem to look the same, so it's difficult to see, at first glance, exactly what you're looking at. There is no colour in the course material. More graphs, and images might help. It looks like it's been produced in Word and printed out. Some of the course material could do with clearer sentences/explanations, however a majority is very clear. Brendan is very personable, and obviously knows his stuff. He has taught the syllabus many times. Overall, I'd be happy to recommend this course to anyone starting out in financial services. Tricia Elliott

Terry had an abundance of knowledge in so many fields it was somewhat humbling at times! Very decent chap and easily one of the most popular within a group that I have come across.

A good course that put the information into context. Sudy material was also clear and helpful. Would have been good to also have on site parking.

Very please with the course. Found it useful as gained real life experience rather than just reading. Course was interactive and informative and flexible. Paul was very good and conducted the sessions very well with us all being very engaged. Woud definately recommend.

Venue was very cold, additional heaters had to be provided which was not ideal and the staff struggled to get the temperature up to an acceptable level. Other than that a good location. Brendan knows exactly how to get you prepared for CeMap, and I think the course was probably worth 10-15% on top of the mark I would achieve if I went the self taught route which could be the difference between a pass and fail. The tricky areas and pitfalls were all explained and how to avoid them and time and attention paid to the more complex areas and the ones which you don't come across in everyday practice. I'm probably being hyper critical but I was expecting a variety of learning methods to have been introduced to break the monotony of the text a d improve the understanding on different aspects of the course rather than just reading from a text book.

As a studying accademy it should have the ability to allow students into the building before 08:45 and flexibility to be able to stay after 18:00, as not all students are staying at a near by hotel and they may prefer to either come earlier or stay later to do some strudying. Not being able to do so, it means that it has a negative impact to the students' studying/revision time.
