I think what was most striking for me was that listening and exploring was the most important step. I had always thought it was to recognize and ask and now knowing what I know, it means I must work extra hard to ensure that I listen and explore no matter how hard it is and how great my desire to help before jumping right into action.
I really enjoyed the training and our instructor. The content was informative and easy to digest. I feel more equipped to recognize signs and have conversations surrounding suicide. For future courses, it would be helpful to have more break out discussions and interactive courses.
A very informative course full that has educated me and prepared myself to deal with suicide related situations.
Enjoyed the course and very relevant to my role and personal situations which Kay arise.
Very well lead, informative and took a lot away from the training to reflect and feel more confident.
It’s an informative session and gives good advice on how to support someone having thoughts of suicide or planning suicide. Sam made it easy to understand and was very pleasant.
Very sensitive subject matter but of huge importance
