I really enjoyed the course thank you!! I understand the statistics are important but I wish that the second half of the session was bigger in contrast to the first half, but thank you it was very informative!
Good. Thanks. Quite intense. Especially crammed into three hours it’s a bit too much.
I think it would be very useful to talk about means especially if there are specific means more prevalent in different groups. And I think it would be more beneficial to talk about real life examples (especially difficult ones).
Great course to give knowledge and tools to be able to help someone as an initial responder
I think there should be role plays to practice these conversations as it is easier to talk about than to do in practice, and feedback on how to improve our skills is important. We should acknowledge not all people who die by suicide will give obvious signs, whilst it is our responsibility to ask the questions and be vigilant it is not always possible to intercept or realise in advance, and this can leave bystanders with lasting trauma. So please be mindful of this - whilst we hope suicide is preventable sometimes it is very difficult for others to see coming or to prevent, as the person themselves can mask or deliberately keep things hidden. Please be mindful many attendees will have had their own experiences on this topic, either directly or indirectly and be sensitive in language (eg all suicide is preventable can be difficult to hear).
Wasn't sure about how would feel about it but definitely beneficial, and good knowledge of how to intervene.
Great course and content but maybe need a few more breaks to stay focused.
Very worthwhile course following on from Mental Health First Aid. I was expecting it to be a draining emotional course considering the topic, however that is not the case and you feel energised and a confidence towards approaching suicide.
After initially having difficulties logging in, which the team were very helpful with, the course was really good. It helped to process a difficult subject and build confidence.
Jamie was excellent. Established safety from the start. Brought appropriate humour. Really took time to connect with the whole group. Very very good. Thank you.
