The training was ok but the venue is too small and we have to squeeze with our sitting arrangements.

Enjoyed the training i am glad we were not put in groups to do course work like last year going round writing things on paper. Only downfall was that we finished late instead of 5pm.

My role does not require me to be able to move or lift patients using equipment so much of the session was not relevant to me.

Venue changed room location. This was not communicated. Called Health and Safety group and was first told there’s no venue in Chelmsford- then realized her error but unhelpful customer service. Arrived at the new room at 1:45, no trainer there and was greeted by an angry group of student telling us we can’t just join for half a day. Trainer arrived and told angry day students that we were there for the last half of the day- trainer was told by angry day students that it’s ‘disgusting’ Made to feel really unwelcome. You need to communicate better with your students

We had to ask for a hot drink The course is more suitable for healthcare support workers as nurses had to help quite a few times

Very sketchy moving and handling section. Skills only demonstrated, no chance to practice. I was expecting BLS and moving and handling only and that it would be covered in depth with a practical element where all had to be observed in practice.

Their was some confusion about the classroom venue which led to unsettled arrivals at the beginning. The morning session went well but after lunch the group which had by then gelled were very surprised by the arrival of other students who were only doing the afternoon. This had not been mentioned or forewarned. It changed the group dynamics and was unsettling.
