Compassionate, knowledgeable trainers make challenging mental-health topics feel safe, accessible and engaging, according to attendees. They value the balance of clear explanation, real-life examples, videos, workbooks, scenarios and group discussion, with inclusive facilitation, regular check-ins and a comfortable pace. Zarqa was a fantastic facilitator of this course which she delivered very effectively and in a sensitive, skilful manner. I learnt a lot of new facts and tools from the course including the ALGEE action steps which was very helpful to learn; equipping me to effectively help support someone as a mental health first aider.

Taking the time out of my working week to totally focus on the course was valuable. The mental Heath Continuum was a useful diagram to highlight that we all could experience poor mental health during our lives. Training have given me the confidence to address any concerns I may have directly but with sensitivity. The trainer was very knowledgeable and willing to share his experiences when appropriate. The films were very good. I have already recommended this course to someone.

This course was a good pace. Louise presented it in easy chunks to manage and digest. Role play only involved one team whereas I believe everyone should have undertaken it. I dislike role play massively but would have accepted exercise more if everyone had undertaken role play. Either that remove role play exercise as majority of staff generally prefer not to do role play Louise is knowledgeable and has a lovely approach.

I think there was a lot of talking and a lot of information which I know they tried to switch up with actives however there was times where I felt like I was taking in so much information and really simpler information. Loved the course overall though and really injoying it

Great trainers, as usual! Good content. Would probably be more useful early on in your role rather than once already established as felt some of the skills I have already learned and gained from other training courses provided
