It would be more useful for trainee teachers. I would be disappointed to find any professional colleagues not instinctively using the ideas presented.

Lots of fency words for somthing that is common sense. I did not learn anything new that I am not doing already. However, Brad was very engaging and the 3 hours ( too long) past nicely.

Felt that the start of the day was the best and most useful. The final session about questioning felt like a rehash of stuff that I’ve been told many times over the years. But I think part of the problem is that you had a lot of different educators at very different stages in their careers to try and be relevant for.

I've read quite a lot of this stuff already. Also, I don't think that EAL/ MFL learning follows the same principles, see www.sdkrashen.com as a good start or ask ChatGPT: "How do Rosenshine's principles clash with language teaching methodology."

Still not sure what do do with those students that just plainly will not complete the work and say "no" when asked to do anything, fold their arms and say "I don't care".

As someone who’s been doing this a while (>30 years) there was nothing new for me here, but it served as a good refresher.
