Felt quite repetitive to previous courses before this module

this was a very hard subject Julie tried to use her personality but i think that the content could be more engaging or have exercises associated with it. the content also seemed to be very skewed to a commercial environment not a not for profit of local authority or public service.

This felt very dragged out today - it wasn’t very well presented and this impacted on how people understood what they were doing. Breaks were also very long suggesting that the contents of the workshop weren’t really sufficient to fill the time. It felt quite a waste of a morning.

I personally struggled with todays delivery. The trainer Emma, was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate, but joked she went off on a tangent a lot and it was true. Many discussions went into other areas, content didn't stay where it needed to to ensure that we learnt the brief as required. I feel that the subjects on the slides, and theories and models we need to reference for our assignments needed to be clearer and covered to a higher level. The discussions and areas Emma went into were interesting, but I found it very all over the place, rushed and very difficult to concentrate and focus. More group activities and practical ways to practice the models would have helped us far more on the course. Many others within the group loved the delivery, so its just a personal preference. For me it was too disorganised, chaotic at times and lacked structure. Named extra models and theorists were mentioned insanely quickly, while trying to note each one, she was on to another. So I have a book of half scribbles and the most chaotic notes I have had to date from a module delivery. I have come away feeling overwhelmed and unconfident I have the knowledge from the session I needed. I will now be going on and watching another delivery from another trainer in the Ioda resources to ensure I have understood the module. Emma was clearly passionate about coaching and mentoring, but commented often on she goes off a lot and the day must have been hard for completer finishers and certain learning styles / personality types and it really was challenging and felt unmotivating and so hard to follow. Sat listening to someone, without much interactivity and group break outs to practice the practical side for almost 6 hours was too much for me. However it is clear Emma is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic but how the delivery impacts some should be considered more.

In the interest of transparency, I found the session quite disjointed and unplanned. It felt like someone had asked about the AI aspect and it was thrown on to this workshop last minute. I think that also impacted the learning outcome of the session, negatively.

Trainer was knowledgeable with being an accountant so is a subject matter expert however for me the subject was boring so needed a lot of interaction to keep be interested.

The trainer was not very engaging im afraid. The subject is quite dry and it could have done with someone a bit more animated. I don't think i took in very muxh today

Presenter excellent . Content excellent. But my issue is we arent imo making the best use of the workshop forum. We could review these models and concepts on our own prior to the workshop e.g. via learning journey / webinar. in these workshops we could then engage in a less theoretical abstract way and a more contextualised and applied one. E.g. review examples or staged videos of coaching sessions and debate what we were doing a given situation e.g. notice a metaphor give feedback so not a comment on the facilitators who’ve been great more a thought about the approach to the pedagogy which I think should be changed.
