very well delivered- learning the different gradient of control was interesting- Breakaway techniques seemed unnatural at first but with practice came easier to me and is very effective where both trainers demonstated each technique in an easy to understand manorResponse : Hi Robert. Thank you for your feedback and honesty of your initial thoughts during learning the physical skills, we however are glad to hear that it became more easier as progressed and you felt supported throughout. Thanks again.

I felt the trainer provided a very enthusiastic and energetic presence to the course which always makes it much more engaging, Amy was also able to answer our questions well to the best of her ability and was happy to discuss scenarios. The training as a whole I don't believe to be best suited to the needs of our job roles/ the homes we work in. The course provides us with the basic skills/moves to use however, I believe this course should be undertaken within individual home environments while considering individual risks of young people/common behaviours they may display. During the course today many discussions were held about situations we have been in within our home whereby the holds simply wouldn't have been able to keep the young person and staff free from harm and therefor these holds would need to be adapted to keep the young person safe in the moment. A empty large room which is where we do this course does not replicate or prepare staff for real life situations, for example performing a seated PI on three upright chairs is likely to never occur within the home. A more likely situation would be a seated hold on a sofa with bouncy cushions falling off or a bed with a mattress moving. I would suggest as a minimum sofas to be used within this training. Happy to discuss this further.
