Really enjoyed the course. Loads of appropriate discussions. Facilitator was really good and was able to encourage everyone to take turns and be active in the conversation. Good learning tips re better use of language and how to have a conversation with so suicidal to get the best support and action.

Good induction into the topic. I think as a recommendation a little bit more on if someone has occurring conditions around substance misuse - how they can make referrals - or signposting people once and if they feel confident to do so.

Really appreciate the tone that was set on what words to not use, how to speak to a person.

This course was highly valuable and provided critical insights into suicide awareness, prevention, and emergency intervention. These learnings are especially important at this time, given the noticeable rise in mental health challenges across our communities. Considering the recent completion of this foundational program, it would be extremely beneficial to have prompt access to the second-stage workshop to build on this knowledge and further strengthen our ability to respond effectively.

Excellent introductory training in this very important area. I feel better able to provide assistance if required.

It was challenging, not realising how important suicide first aid is. It has opened my mind about preventing persons from suicide.

The course was not heavy, it was very very practical and precise
