Flexible content, although this was aimed at Young People the structure and principles could be used with anyone which was emphasized and appreciated. Trainer had excellent knowledge and a wealth of experience to call on which gave depth and clarity to the course and the reasoning behind the model.
I enjoyed the course, it is very relevant , informative and interesting. I am already placed on the waiting list at work for full the 2 day course, which I am told was excellent. It will help with my role working with vulnerable people and supporting colleagues and my own wellbeing
Response: Thank you Shirley and I will look forward to seeing you on the 2 day MHFA course. Fingers crossed...
I was expecting a bit more an a manual like you get with MHFA training so good to manage expectations prior to the course.
Great course with the right balance of information and collaboration
Really excellent course, excellently delivered.
I just wished that I would have had this course 20+ years ago, when my partner took his life. I would have had more understanding, know what questions to ask and not being made to feel guilty. I thought the course was thorough and flowed making it easier to have the understanding and how to ask the appropriate questions
I really enjoyed the session today as I learned a lot about how to respond in a situation if someone felt suicidal. I feel more confident and comfortable if someone would tell me that they feel suicidal. I enjoyed the workbook that we had as well that made us more engage with the course.
It was a very interesting training and I learned a lot about the steps that should be taken if ever these type of issue arise in work or in my daily life with others. I was surprise that some steps that may seems extremely uncomfortable are actually the one that we should be taking to ensure we are assisting the person in need at our best.
Really enjoyed the course today I’ve found it really helpful :)
