Despite it being a typically tough heavy topic, I enjoyed the day. There was a good variety of people in different job roles, all professional and with variety of experiences. The trainer Olly didn't go over the basics too much and we were able to discuss in depth but also was welcoming to any and all questions. His demeanour made it easy to talk and felt nonjudgmental.

Brilliant course. The tutor was full of knowledge that can translate to real situations. We learnt,we laughed,we were moved to be compassionate, see the signs,have boldness to ask the questions.
I really like that the training was provided as if we were all having a conversation. It was super engaging and easy to follow.
A really well-run course. Starting as a learner and then delivering sections myself with feedback was the right way round. It showed me quickly that the hard part isn't the content, it's juggling the manual, slides and workbook while keeping the conversation natural. Working one to one meant every piece of feedback was specific to me, and I've come away with clear things to practise before day five.
I found the course incredibly helpful and thought provoking and enjoyed the engagement with the rest of the people attending the course as well as Stephanie. As an additional comment, I would like to say that I found Stephanie Charles really professional while also having a warmth which is so important when it comes to these subjects.
