I found the training very interesting and informative. It gave us space for reflection and discussion about the topic. It helped me to enhance my knowledge and skills which will be important when supporting my clients on the ward.
I have gained more knowledge and confidence in suicide situations.
This is a very sensitive topic that was handled with such grace, humour and understanding. It was correctly paced and each person on the course was given an opportunity to discuss concerns etc. There was only one break out opportunity which was actually so beneficial as you get to hear other people's perspectives. One thing I did notice, was the group I was in involved all women. In this environment we felt safe and comfortable to share personal information. This might not have been the same if it involved men. However, I think it would be good to have a separate break out group which was mixed, for a more rounded and informed discussion.
