Really valuable course, such a difficult subject but just the re-enforcement that asking someone if they are having thoughts of suicide will not make them them think about suicide is so vital. Having clear steps of what to ask and how to ask and then what to do based on the response makes me more confident in my ability to have that conversation should I see the signs.
Vas is brilliant, patient and extremely eloquent and prepared. She delivered the workshop in a kind and professional manner, making sure all points had come across clearly
Ian was fantastic - clear, concise and super informative! The workbook was also great to work through as we went through the course. I will highly recommend this course to others
I have recommended this course to all my colleagues, as I truly see a difference in how I handle my work.
Informative and helpful Right balance of information vs interaction
A great informative training session. Really helpful to see it broken down into steps, information and decision making can feel overwhelming sometimes so great to have it step by step.
I found the course incredibly helpful as it enabled me to further recognise biases I may hold, how I may behave or act on them, what I can do better in the future to help support our patients, colleagues, to appropriate care for those expericing suicidal ideation. I found the course helpful for increasing my confidence and gaining practice in approaching sensitive topics.
