I really enjoyed my training with Liam, he was very attentive to other people’s learning types. Liam was approachable, funny and really informative within this field. Liam was able to make the full room feel at ease, with his sense or humour and ability to retain professional boundaries. Liam was supportive to others that were struggling within the group and did not apply any pressure when completing tests or demonstrations. It was the first training session I’ve completed in my 8 years of care work were I was engaged and not bored, and I came out learning more information then from when I entered the room. I was very impressed with this training and Liam is an asset to your company and delivers his training to a high standard.
Very informative 2 day course found the PBS very in-depth as to what I’ve had previously. Really enjoyed the practical on day 2.
Very interesting 2 days course, and techniques to use. Went into depth in PBS, and how behaviour effect people.
Trainer built a relationship with each and one of the trainees and while made humour was able to take control of the room and had everyone listening to every slide and every break away manoeuvre. It was 2 days of non-boredom and and increased interest into the training due to great listening and a great ability to implement stories of his own and being able to hook the trainees in by j voicing each and every one of them. One of the better face to face training I’ve had.
Liam Miakin has ran the course thoroughly and is a credit to the training team. Every subject was done well. Liam displayed great knowledge around his previous experience and linking this into levels of arousal and other subjects learnt. Breakaway training was done safely and in a focused, fun, clear as well as understandable way.
I entered this course with a great deal of trepidation. Liam taught the course in such a way, that ifeel confident with the theory side of the course. Everything was broken down into bite sized pieces, Liam then checked and double checked we understood before moving on to the next piece of information. For the practical training Liamade sure we understood every step of the process, we practiced each manoeuvre several times before learning the next. Everything was made easy to learn what at first appeared complicated processes. In my humble opinion Liam is an excellent teacher, he could relate to our questions and concerns, he showed us how application of the techniques would increase our safety and the quality of life for service users. Dance like nobody is watching, and the practical applications will be second nature. THANK YOU
