Really good session and well formatted to keep engagement throughout
These sessions are great and really interactive - I think the shorter half day (2 part) sessions are much better and they allow time to complete the activities in between. Thank you!
The best thing about my course was my tutor, Elaine Wood. Elaine is absolutely amazing, patient, understanding and genuine. Don't ever let her go!
The programme was great for building my knowledge and introducing me to subjects I was not aware of or had little knowledge of. I feel more informed and better equipt when it comes to HR practices. My tutor was great and pushed me when I needed it and gave guidance that was relevant and supportive. I found the wokshops and webinars, beneficial to build my understanding and as an introduction to the subject.
Good resource of knowledge and informative. Good engagement and source of different learning collaboration through breakout rooms and online tools such as whiteboards
I really enjoyed the interactive nature of the workshop session. The activities really helped me get a better understanding of the theory in practice and helped cement the learning. I work best in sessions led this way with group participation. The content was clear and easy to follow and I think the 4 hour length of the sessions is good (Part 1 & Part 2 format) - This is the right amount of learning time for my brain to digest in one go.
Technical issues spoiled part of the course and stopped me giving five stars. Sometimes I felt the trainers needed to be a bit more animated but they had great expertise and had planned good exercises and activities.
I can't thank enough my last tutor Zita - she was absolutely brilliant and since she started to look after me I felt supported and directed in the right way, unfortunately I was not lucky enough before her and the beginning of my course was quite poor, I think first two tutors didn't really follow on my studies and didn't feel like anyone cares. The materials on the portal were good, though some workbooks looked like they were drafts sometimes: the suggested content guidelines were amazing help
The virtual online workshop is only part of the course so in the context of just the workshop I think this could be improved. The trainer was not very clear in her communication and spoke quite quickly. It is really hard in a virtual environment to follow this as you don't have the same connection that you do face to face. I felt that the trainer rushed through the slides but did not elaborate or explain the slide content in enough depth or clarity. The most useful sessions with these workshops are the group breakout exercises to discuss and share other peoples ideas. The course ran ahead of time so further explanation on slide content and more time could have been taken. On a positive note the trainer encouraged us to document and share our breakout session content for use in further study.
There should be more “quick fixes” that could help with last minute revision
