The content of the course was at a level far below that expected. Some of the training was out of date. A large proportion of the course was factually incorrect and based upon misguided opinion. It was very concerning that clinical staff who potentially have no experience of high quality / nhs mandatory training would be reliant on the course to inform them of essential topics such as data handlings, safeguarding and moving and handling. The safeguarding aspect of the training was in no way provided to an appropriate level for anyone delivering health or social care.

Very hot in the room. The fan was on but it was loud. People were falling asleep. The trainer tried his best to keep everyone focused. I personally found the morning very boring - sitting for hours listening to the trainer reading from slides and it was all stuff I knew already. The afternoon was better when we did some practical training. Coffee/tea was provided in the morning only (one cup each). No other drinks or food. I went out to get my own coffee, water and food. The day dragged on. Luckily I finished the test papers earlier than others so my paper was marked and signed off and I got to leave at 17:15. Others would have left a lot later.
