A good day, a lot to learn in one day though so not a lot of time to discuss. The venue was undergoing some refurbishment so there was a lot of noisy building work. As it wasn’t a purpose built venue then the bed etc were not suitable for the tasks, but you are still able to practice. Alex is a good trainer though and kept everyone on tasks. Thank you

The Moving and Handling training was informative and highly relevant to my role. It reinforced the importance of working safely and using correct techniques to prevent injury to both staff and the individuals we support. I now have a clearer understanding of the legislation surrounding manual handling, the importance of risk assessments, and how to use equipment such as hoists and slide sheets properly.

Moving and handling refers to the safe techniques used to lift, carry, push, pull, or support a person or object to prevent injury. It focuses on correct posture, use of equipment, and risk assessment to protect both the handler and the person being moved.
