Very interesting and refreshing course

Very good understanding

Good teacher who kept interest in the topics but it was rushed for those who have not done the training before. Fortunately for myself I was already well trained and was grateful it was short! It is not enough for those who are not trained, however.

The only limitation is that the course content was a bit too much to be fitted into 7 hours. Start timing was ideal.

Felt the course lacked some important information I.e. checking of equipment prior to use I.e. hoists/slings.

The techniques demonstrated within the workshop did not indicate my line of work entirely

Whilst the trainer was obviously had a good level of knowledge, his delivery left a lot to be desired. I felt he was quite demeaning in his attitude towards the students even though some were more highly qualified than him. He made jokes and laughed frequently, but I did not find them funny or appropriate. He would ask a question, ignore the answers he was given, make an inappropriate remark and then give the exact same answer that he was given. I was very glad to leave at the end of the day. I was also disappointed that coffee/tea was only provided in the morning and not throughout the rest of the day. No lunch was provided and we were not informed of this until the start of the day.

The trainer was very good and most importantly, he was very knowledgeable about ALL subjects and made things easy to understand.

I’ve attended CSTF training multiple times, but this has been by far the best session. Fiona was a fantastic trainer—engaging, knowledgeable, and very effective in getting everyone involved without ever being intimidating. She created a comfortable atmosphere that encouraged participation and interaction, which really helped reinforce the key concepts of the training. Everything was delivered clearly, with practical relevance, and I genuinely felt refreshed and more confident by the end of the day. I hope Fiona will be the trainer again next year—it would be great to learn from her again. A really well-run and impactful session—thank you!
