Very engaging and thought provoking course. Many thanks to the supremely knowledgable Karen who was able to cover any and all issues relating to not just an officers attendance in court, but really what prosecutors (and defence) are looking for in general practice with relation to criminal investigations. Thank you also to Geraint who led the first part of our practical day and gave some valuable insight.
I found the negotiation training to be highly engaging and insightful. The session provided practical strategies for handling challenging conversations, especially with difficult or manipulative individuals. I particularly appreciated the focus on active listening, assertive communication, and maintaining professionalism under pressure. The real-life scenarios and role-play exercises helped reinforce key concepts and made the learning experience interactive and relevant to our daily work. I feel more confident in approaching negotiations with clarity and control, and I believe the tools shared will be valuable in improving outcomes and building stronger relationships. Excellent course that will hopefully never be needed but if it ever is I will have the skills to stand the best chance of delivering my evidence with more confidence and in the best way possible. Thank you.

James Bannerman was a great trainer. He was very engaging and knowledgeable about the subjects. He kept me interested in the topics.
I really enjoyed the course as it was very interesting and the topics discussed are very valuable while working withing the Debt resolution team in the HMRC. The trainer we had was Dr James Bannerman and he was excellent during the training, I struggle with keeping my attention to online courses but he made the training very engaging and made sure to ask us all questions and make sure that everyone alright and following what he was saying.
James was a very engaging trainer. I thought I already knew quite a lot about negotiation but definitely learnt more throughout the course. His presentation plan and practise means that we are still able to maintain focus due to consistent levels of engaging activities throughout. Would definitely recommend him as a trainer to others in the future.
