It was an absolute privilege to have a defence barrister that is so experienced be able to speak to us. I am an experienced officer and am quite comfortable with court, however I have such a better understanding of processes, decision making and principles that I did not understand at all beforehand. I think this course will only help me be a better interviewer and investigator and it was such a rare opportunity and insight. I'll probably use the knowledge I learned today the most in my career!
A really enjoyable and informative day which was very interactive.
I believe this course is an integral part of policing. We complete a number of training sessions on getting a case to court but then almost no training on what to do when you are called to give evidence. I feel that without this course we can only expect that cases are lost because of a lack of knowledge which can be picked apart by trained solicitors.
All the elements of the course have been insightful, thorough and informative. Having observed others doing the assessments, and now have been equipped with the knowledge about what, how and why certain steps are taken has been useful. I believe all parts of the course will be transferable to my current role.
Very insightful, interactive, knowledgeable, and above all very patient. No question was insignificant. No matter how far he is , he will always pause to answer anybody's question; everybody gets a chance to speak. Equal attention to all. very good tutor. I will lean with Max anytime, any day. Thank you Bond Salon for giving this cohort Max. 1 or 2 more days will have been even better. Thank you!!!!!
Patrick was very personable and led the day with excellence. He clearly is very knowledgable with a wealth of wide experience that he was able to bring to the course. A pleasure to listen too and a very able teacher.
Trainer was very good and engaging, helps with any questions and very knowledgeable.
Very engaging course. I feel equipped on how to tackle court going forward!
