No case studies were used. However, not really needed. Responding to questions - The trainer frequently did not answer questions, as he stated he could not give legal advice. Sometimes this was in response to what I felt was a generic question.

Nick presented very well. He was engaging, an expert on his subject and collaborative rather than providing a lecture. In terms of material, I think a cheat sheet of key take-aways and a diagramatic overview of a process would be helpful.

I have previously attended the London College of Policing money laundering course and the content of the pilot was very similar. The breakout rooms were good as it gets you to interact and participate in the course.

Need more clarity of the specialist courts within the King's Bench Division: • Administrative Court: Deals with administrative law cases, including those involving public authorities and public bodies. • Admiralty Court: Handles maritime law cases, such as disputes over shipping and maritime operations. • Commercial Court: Specializes in significant commercial disputes, many of which are international in nature. • Technology and Construction Court: Focuses on technology and construction-related disputes. • Circuit Commercial Courts: Enables business disputes brought anywhere in the country to be tried by judges with specialist commercial law expertise. Need to list minor / junior courts such as Ecclesiastical Court, Coroners Court, Youth Court. Need to address Remaining EU Law Act 2023 and the impact on English Law. Need to look at relevance of section 4.3. CPR 36 is a growing part of High Court KBD expert witness work. We need to add this to the course. Candidates need guidance as to where and when they have a role to play in Part 36 offers. It would be helpful to expand the section on duties and obligations of Expert Witness and Instructing Solicitors to cover non-payment by client, instructing solicitor and what happens if there is a breach of contract. Need to cover Expert Witness issued Request For Information. Need to cover Expert Witness Supplemental Reports written after a Joint Statement to address the areas of disagreement in more detail. Practice Direction 35 and 2014 Guidance are mute on Supplemental Reports

Really enjoyed the last 2 days. Understand more about the restorative supervision model & principles. Has allowed lots of reflection time on own practice and emotional intelligence. Good mix in the group and sharing of ideas. Breakout rooms mix & exercises were good.
