Very informative and has given me confidence to approach someone dealing with mental health issues and to assist with wellbeing and mindfulness Also much more aware of the issue of mental health.
It was a good course, good conversation but I do believe that things like this are better face to face.
This is a vast field with so much to learn. The course gives a good introduction and overview to prospective MHFAs.
The home learning modules I enjoyed but found it alot of information. I would prefer a face to face group rather than a zoom for subjects of this nature - but totally understand the reasons why. Feel more confident to talk about suicide and be more direct.
The course was good to do, as it gave me more insight in what to do in these situations. I did find the course emotionally and mentally hard at times due to the subjects being talked about but was overall very good.
It was a hard course to get through with many aspects quite upsetting but necessary.
Enjoyed it - learned a lot - good intro to mental health. Is there a next step in managing mental health for me / for others? Kind regards and well done Kim Kieran
This course has changed my thinking on how to approach a person with mental health issues and helped me a lot to understand. Exercises are really good scenarios.
I did the adult one a few years ago face to face during 2 days. I found that I preferred this format as i was able to be better prepared for discussions
