Compassionate, knowledgeable trainers make challenging mental-health topics feel safe, accessible and engaging, according to attendees. They value the balance of clear explanation, real-life examples, videos, workbooks, scenarios and group discussion, with inclusive facilitation, regular check-ins and a comfortable pace. Really good course, feel better equipped to deal with Mental Health issues/concerns as they arise in my work. Also acknowledge the importance of self care as a Youth Work Practitioner.

It would be nice to have more time for group discussions, say a whole day, instead of just an afternoon.

Great course, but 4 hours is not long enough.

The session helped to refresh and update myself on the mental health first aid. The course was interactive and gave insight on different ways to deal with the situations & supports to provide. The allocated time for the course was not sufficient to cover the contents in detail. I think it will be better to have a whole day session so that we will have more opportunity for discussions and skill practices.
