CBRE course taught to Faraday standards and not to CBRE standards. Sample switching schedules given out caused major confusion at the switchgear due to multiple operations being combined on switchgear that people are not familiar with.
The facilities were great. The course was enjoying but extremely fast paced for the amount of material and the number or days that the course takes place over. I would have liked more of the practical side of the course, like referring to drawing when setting up the tests rather then them being already set up

P1 is delivered within a limited timeframe and is intentionally structured to provide candidates with a strong grounding in fundamental protection principles, together with an introduction to relay settings and associated calculations. For information, we also offer the P3 Protection course, which is designed to build on this foundation. P3 includes one day of advanced theory followed by four days of hands-on practical training, using a variety of protection relays and secondary injection test sets to reflect equipment commonly encountered in operational environments. I'm a novice in electronics, so some information was over my head but I learnt some useful information to use in my career.
Good refresher to power system protection
Good facilities Chris was very knowledgeable on the subject. Would be great if the course was taught more from the wind turbine technician point of view and shown more details on the service side of transformers.
Course venue was good. Plenty to see, and operate. Not sure if it’s something that could be adopted into the course more, but the discipline steps of preforming isolations in the safest ways. Some confusion over if you withdraw ACB’s a lot before withdrawing HV cbs. Also the hazards maybe of cbs failing to close, or CBs struck when racking in or out.. the reality hazards you may come across as an SAP, and how to safely overcome them for new guys training on this course. All good knowledge is worth sharing to ensure people are safe and knowledgable. Content was good and Chris very knowledgable.
