It was genuinely one of the best presented INSEDs from an outside provider I have had since I joined the school in 2010. Three hour-long presentations and I didn't look at my watch once! I liked the interactive nature of it and how it got us to think. The presenters used humour and didn't talk down to us. Bear in mind I have had numerous presentations and INSEDs on retrieval practice, metacognition and cognitive load theory in my life it was good to still enjoy them even though I didn't learn much new (but that isn't your fault).
We have been discussing the content e.g. like cold calling or metacognitive in majority staff training for past few years, and every time it's very surface/basic touch, we need more in depth training and how it would be helpful to apply to different types of students,
Useful to review some quite familiar ideas and have the research behind them explained and good practice reinforced.
Very interesting and some good activities Memory and learning strategies also worthwhile Thank you
Engaging and interesting, but quite a lot of this information was review of things I already had a good deal of information about.
Inspirational Bradley’s style is outstanding and really makes a difference
Thank you for an enjoyable day. I thought the presentation was an engaging romp through cognition, and growth mindset.
