Lots of really good evidence based techniques and information learnt and practiced. Makes you think about your own practice at work and at home. Thought Ben was engaging and passionate and a great trainer.
Great delivery of information. Attention from everyone clearly present. Demonstration of breakaway techniques completed in a safe manner, ensuring everyone understood, taking time out to reassure people.
Part 2 was much better than part 1 as it was split up into morning of theory and afternoon of practical so went really quick! Only thing I would say to improve is to offer examples of our real life patient scenarios such as NG placement for feeding de-escalation. For example, asking “what’s wrong” wouldn’t help with this as we would know what has escalated them. I would appreciate some further guidance on verbal deescalation
