Found the trainee helpful and engaging

Good range of topics covered relevant to what we need as forest school leaders. Good amount of practical scenarios to practice skills. Venue not great - facilities weren’t great and no woodland to practice scenarios in the same environment that we are working in.

Since it is forest school first aid, it would be good to have done the training in woodland rather than indoors.

Brendan is very knowledgeable and passionate about First Aid. His character and extensive range of stories helped make, what could be a long course, interesting , memorable and fun. I feel much better equipped to deal with any First Aid issues. Comments for improvement: more structure and an agenda would have helped clarify what would be in each day. We finished early on both days and at lunchtime on the 3rd day indicating the course could have been done in two days. One other recommendation would be new mats or to give them a good scrub 😬

Venue was clean parking next door great

Venue was awful. Considering the cost of the course. No heating, no toilet roll and dirty hand towels. Danny had to bring in a heater for the Sunday and thankfully provided a toilet roll. There’s no woodland so the forest school element doesn’t come across as well either. Open field isn’t realistic to our experiences. It would also be helpful to spread the course over two Saturdays instead of both Saturday and Sunday due to working a full working week before and after the course. Midweek doesn’t work so is helpful you offer this as a solution. Danny was good though and have no complaints regarding him.

Course content fantastic, instructor was brilliant, venue needed a more woodland surroundings for real setting of a forest school and the building was freezing , Instructor did bring an extra radiator on 2nd day .
