Even though it is a difficult topic to learn it's so vitally important, I'm happy to have completed the course. I felt safe throughout and knew that if I needed to I could pause at anytime. I never felt I needed to as Ben was always calm, patient and supportive.

One thing that stood out to me, reflecting on my own experiences, is that knowledge alone isn’t always enough, true impact comes from how we engage with it in real situations. It reminded me that when someone is in a crisis, they often can’t take in information or ask for help clearly, so I’d like to practise applying what we learned in more real-life scenarios. For me, this awareness has grown over many years, but it’s always valuable to be reminded that sometimes people can’t say “SOS” outright, even if they need help urgently.

I enjoyed attending this course, having been a little apprehensive at first due to the course content. Mike was excellent thank you. I also enjoyed meeting and engaging with other professionals on the day.
