Even though the Suicide Awareness training course is what we came for to do , Alison our tutor made our day special with her assured and empathetic manner throughout.
Useful topic, did feel better that was dealing with this at home, as very sensitive subject which was dealt with as such
Thank you - the course was really helpful and has certainly given me more confidence in and around suicide.
I recently lost a friend to suicide and for me, everyone around him knew he was struggling with his mental health and he had a great supportive network around him and it still wasnt enough to keep him here. i just wish there was more we could have done. It was hard to sit in and listen and do this training today but i am so glad i did. i have learnt alot from it, especially different approaches
Brilliant course, everyone was very happy with it and thought it was well worth it. Hannah is absolutely brilliant
I was not looking forward to this training as I have had personal experience of suicide in my immediate family and I am still quite traumatised. However, I went away actually feeling ok and more equipped to help people and actually a little bit restored.
It has made me think a lot about my preconceived ideas about the way I and others have been brought up to think about suicide. The British stiff upper lip and boarding school have much to answer to!
